Paul's first letter to the Corinthians is one of the most important epistles in the New Testament. David Garland's thoughtful new commentary draws on extensive research and engages the best of contemporary scholarship while providing a readable study that will be accessible to thoughtful readers as well as students, pastors, and scholars. After considering the context of the letter and the social and cultural setting of Corinth, Garland turns to his exegetical work. An introduction to each major unit of thought is followed by the author's own translation of the Greek text. In the course of his verse-by-verse commentary, he incorporates references to other ancient writings that help explain particular aspects of Paul's meaning or provide information on the social and cultural context. He also refers to the work of other commentators and provides extensive notes for further reading and research.

After having many problems with the built-in audiobook player that comes with Apple products I was so happy to find this application. Not only does it accept MP3 files it joins them together. I have experienced numerous problems where an MP4 book will play in iTunes but would not play in the app that comes with my iPhone. This application plays them all flawlessly. And the increased speed is perfect. As one who consumes 2 to 3 audiobooks a week this is just what I needed.

Playing existing mp3 audio book files should be a slam dunk for an iPhone, but Apple doesn’t make it easy. This program fills this gap in functionality. It is easy to add files, through iCloud for example, and the app’s play functions work as expected. A pleasure to use.

The app allows a lot of freedom as far as organization and playback speed. Sleep timer is adjustable and combining books into series folders is simple. Equalizer helps to adjust pitch when playing at high speeds and helps reduces feedback with poor quality recordings. App never crashes and I don’t have any complaints.

I have a large list of audiobooks download in mb4 for and have tried many different apps. This is by far the best and most convenient app. It also automatically gets the cover art for each book. I recommend getting the pro so that there are no listening limits.
