Are We Human? Notes on an Archaeology of Design

The question Are We Human? is both urgent and ancient. Beatriz Colomina and Mark Wigley offer a multilayered exploration of the intimate relationship between human and design and rethink the philosophy of design in a multi-dimensional exploration from the very first tools and ornaments to the constant buzz of social media. After having many problems with the built-in audiobook player that comes with Apple products I was so happy to find this application. Not only does it accept MP3 files it joins them together. I have experienced numerous problems where an MP4 book will play in iTunes but would not play in the app that comes with my iPhone. This application plays them all flawlessly. And the increased speed is perfect. As one who consumes 2 to 3 audiobooks a week this is just what I needed.

I only wish I had found this App earlier. It would have saved me hours of converting audio books. This app is really easy to use and plays audio books on my iPhone 6 in mp3 format with no problem. It's easy to transfer books via iTunes. All round fantastic app, and I purchased the pro version within a hour of using it.

This app has a ton of features for listening to your audiobooks. The shake to extend the sleep timer is very convenient and a feature I miss when I switch back to the Audible app for my library there. Also, the equalizer has been a really nice addition along with the audio preset built in. I can keep my books out on my iCloud Drive and download them when I’m ready to listen. Great app!

Fits the bill perfectly to play audiobooks ripped from other media: premium version allows bookmarking, reading rate change (the best I've ever seen from .5x through 3x and every variation in between) and sleep timer. Plays files in multiple formats, including mp3s and m4b (audiobook version of m4a). Easy to load books through iTunes file sharing. I haven't tried the wireless method. Well worth the money for the premium version (which you can just purchase outright, but I got it free first, liked it, and almost immediately did the IAP for the pro features). Been looking for a solution since Audible discontinued the feature to play your own iTunes audiobook library and iBooks is inadequate. This is it. Highly recommended. Found this while trying to figure out how to play a library of audiobooks from a favorite author ripped from cassettes and CDs (not available on Audible - always my go-to).
