It is 1955 when seventeen-year-old Pat Sponer first met sixteen-year-old Richard Paholsky at a wedding. Instantly attracted, they quickly discovered they were complete opposites. He was confident, bold, and social, and she collapsed into a cocoon when someone spoke to her. As their unorthodox courtship began, Pat and Rich soon fell in love and eventually married five years later. In a retelling of their courtship, marriage, and life together until his death in 2018, Pat shares insight into their relationship that includes entertaining tales about their travels together on Route 66 a few days after they were married, their experiences in California during the sixties, and later in Michigan as they started a family. Within her short vignettes, Pat leads others through her memories and life with Rich including the time leading up to his diagnosis, death, and her eventual journey through grief after he was gone. Throughout her story, Pat provides hope for anyone suffering a loss that healing comes with reflection, gratitude, and time. Bringing Richard Home is a story of love, loss, and healing as a widow offers a window into her sixty-plus relationship with her husband and her journey through grief after his death.

I have used this app to listen to my audio books for several years now. I keep several book series, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc., add new books, remove after read, etc. While I currently have 17 books loaded, with several books in progress, the app has never lost a reading place. Bookmarks work like a charm. I not only listen to audio books at home, I also listen while I drive. I appreciate that the app pauses during turn-by-turn directions. Thank you for an app that just does its thing flawlessly.

After having many problems with the built-in audiobook player that comes with Apple products I was so happy to find this application. Not only does it accept MP3 files it joins them together. I have experienced numerous problems where an MP4 book will play in iTunes but would not play in the app that comes with my iPhone. This application plays them all flawlessly. And the increased speed is perfect. As one who consumes 2 to 3 audiobooks a week this is just what I needed.

I just purchased a pack of MP3 audiobooks and I normally listen to Audible at 1.5 normal speed. So when I have to listen to things at normal speed or whatever it is EXCRUCIATING!!! I am so glad I found this app and the fact that you can dial up your speed by tenths instead of quarters is even better. Now if only o could figure out how to love my audible library over here...????

Fits the bill perfectly to play audiobooks ripped from other media: premium version allows bookmarking, reading rate change (the best I've ever seen from .5x through 3x and every variation in between) and sleep timer. Plays files in multiple formats, including mp3s and m4b (audiobook version of m4a). Easy to load books through iTunes file sharing. I haven't tried the wireless method. Well worth the money for the premium version (which you can just purchase outright, but I got it free first, liked it, and almost immediately did the IAP for the pro features). Been looking for a solution since Audible discontinued the feature to play your own iTunes audiobook library and iBooks is inadequate. This is it. Highly recommended. Found this while trying to figure out how to play a library of audiobooks from a favorite author ripped from cassettes and CDs (not available on Audible - always my go-to).
