En respuesta a estas acciones, frente a una manifestaci n, Castro pregunt a la muchedumbre que si era justo ejecutar a los dos disidentes. La multitud grit Pared n. El juicio contra Matos comenz el 11 de diciembre. Se le sentenci a 20 a os de prisi n por los delitos de traici n y sedici n. Matos cumpli la pena completa.
