In her book, "Haiku Heartsong: In Tribute to my Seeing Eye(R) Dogs," author Rebecca Lineberger uses Haiku poems to summarize half a human lifetime of joy spent with four wonderful Seeing Eye(R) dogs - the love and joy of working and playing together, and yes, eventually, the heartbreak of saying good-bye. For the author, these haiku were her answer, her way of healing after she lost her beloved Eagle. Through the poems in "Haiku Heartsong," Rebecca (who earned her Ph.D. with the help of her first Seeing Eye(R) dog, Minx) shares glimpses into her life, at work and at play, with each of her beloved guides. While the poems are a tribute to her own dogs, they will touch the heart of anyone who ever has loved a dog. It is the author's hope that everyone so blessed will find love and laughter, and healing too, in these Haiku journeys. They are truly songs from the heart.

I use this app. to hear the Bible, usually while exercising on a ski machine (with a separate Bluetooth speaker). The audio Bible I have is in German, so I get some language practice, too. The app. keeps the files in their proper order, which iTunes did not. I see the app. has a procedure built in for uploading files to the iPhone. I had already used 3rd party software to do that for a previous iPhone, and these files came over to this phone when I got a new phone. This app. clips the chapter number just a little when starting a new chapter, but only when using the Bluetooth speaker, so that may be a problem wit the speaker software. My previous audio book player did not do that. Other than that, it does what I want.

After having many problems with the built-in audiobook player that comes with Apple products I was so happy to find this application. Not only does it accept MP3 files it joins them together. I have experienced numerous problems where an MP4 book will play in iTunes but would not play in the app that comes with my iPhone. This application plays them all flawlessly. And the increased speed is perfect. As one who consumes 2 to 3 audiobooks a week this is just what I needed.

MP3 Books is the best app I tested among many others. The reading of the chapters follows naturally and without error. A lot of nice features like the auto reading or reading time informations. The main interest is the ability to listen all free audio books and file formats, regardless of any susbcription like Apple Books and others.

I have a number of audiobooks of various formats and ages, collected over decades. I digitized them all to use on mobile devices before iPhones even existed, but obviously now I’d rather not carry a separate device around with me. MP3 Audiobook Player to the rescue! This app lets me load books wirelessly, even via WebDAV, and has excellent usability features like playback speed. It can also be the target of a timer on iOS, so you can set a bedtime timer and automatically stop playback when desired. I just love it, and immediately bought the full version after I saw what it could do.
