El primero permite hacerse una primera idea de la pasividad que contradice la pretensi n del cogito de origen cartesiano de presentarse como soberano de's mismo. El segundo lleva tan lejos como es posible la descripci n pura, a la manera de la intuici n eid tica de Husserl, de las estructuras del querer: proyecto, imputaci n, motivaci n, deseo, esfuerzo, emoci n, h bito. El primer proyecto exige el complemento de una meditaci n sobre la "desproporci n" de uno consigo mismo, que define el estatuto ontol gico de "El hombre falible". El segundo encuentra su l mite en la necesidad de poner entre par ntesis la condici n de una voluntad desde siempre mala. Este par ntesis ser levantado en "La simb lica del mal" que representa el pasaje de una fenomenolog a pura a una hermen utica.Paul Ricoeur Valence (Charente), 27 de febrero de 1913 - Ch tenay-Malabry, 20 de mayo de 2005) fue un fil sofo y antrop logo franc's conocido por su intento de combinar la descripci n fenomenol gica con la interpretaci n hermen utica.Los primeros a os de Ricoeur estuvieron marcados por dos hechos principales. El primero fue que naci en una devota familia protestante, convirti ndose as en miembro de una minor a religiosa en la cat lica Francia. El segundo, que su padre muri en 1915 en la Primera Guerra Mundial, cuando Ricoeur ten a solamente dos a os de edad. Como consecuencia, fue educado por su t a en Rennes con una peque a pensi n asignada por su condici n de hu rfano de guerra. Ricoeur era un muchacho intelectualmente precoz y amante de los libros, cuya inclinaci n hacia el estudio fue incentivada por el nfasis de su familia protestante en el estudio de la Biblia. En 1933 Ricoeur se licenci por la Universidad de Rennes y en 1934 comenz sus estudios de filosof a en la Sorbona, donde fue influido por Gabriel Marcel.
