Making Routes: Journeys in Performance 2010-2020

In 2010, Laura Bissell and David Overend became interested in the ways in which theatre and performance often took place on the move. They wanted to follow the paths being made in this field and to create their own. To this end they established ‘Making Routes’ – a network and online resource for artists and researchers working with mobilities in contemporary performance. Over a decade later, the mobile collective that emerged is still going strong, with a growing membership, flourishing website and serving as a valuable testing ground for new thinking and practice in journey-based performance. This book documents their collaborations, projects and findings, gathering texts of their own and others (including Jamie Lorimer, Phil Smith, Laura Ogden, Adrian Howells and Lewis Hetherington) to consolidate their ongoing research project, take stock of their journey, and to ask, ‘where next?’

How to download audiobooks from Youtube for free on the your iPhone & iPad.

I use this app. to hear the Bible, usually while exercising on a ski machine (with a separate Bluetooth speaker). The audio Bible I have is in German, so I get some language practice, too. The app. keeps the files in their proper order, which iTunes did not. I see the app. has a procedure built in for uploading files to the iPhone. I had already used 3rd party software to do that for a previous iPhone, and these files came over to this phone when I got a new phone. This app. clips the chapter number just a little when starting a new chapter, but only when using the Bluetooth speaker, so that may be a problem wit the speaker software. My previous audio book player did not do that. Other than that, it does what I want.

I just purchased a pack of MP3 audiobooks and I normally listen to Audible at 1.5 normal speed. So when I have to listen to things at normal speed or whatever it is EXCRUCIATING!!! I am so glad I found this app and the fact that you can dial up your speed by tenths instead of quarters is even better. Now if only o could figure out how to love my audible library over here...????

Great app at last I can bookmark audiobooks. Once you have familiarised yourself with the app it works a treat. Just remember to click on the iPhone icon in the top bar (next to music and the up and down arrows) not on the right hand side bar. Then in the summary “file sharing” then select the app and add the audio book from windows explorer not iTunes.

Fits the bill perfectly to play audiobooks ripped from other media: premium version allows bookmarking, reading rate change (the best I've ever seen from .5x through 3x and every variation in between) and sleep timer. Plays files in multiple formats, including mp3s and m4b (audiobook version of m4a). Easy to load books through iTunes file sharing. I haven't tried the wireless method. Well worth the money for the premium version (which you can just purchase outright, but I got it free first, liked it, and almost immediately did the IAP for the pro features). Been looking for a solution since Audible discontinued the feature to play your own iTunes audiobook library and iBooks is inadequate. This is it. Highly recommended. Found this while trying to figure out how to play a library of audiobooks from a favorite author ripped from cassettes and CDs (not available on Audible - always my go-to).
