De pie frente al público, Victor Villaseñor miró al grupo de maestros sentados frente a él, y su mente se llenó de recuerdos de infancia llenos de humillación y abuso por parte de sus profesores. Se sintió enfurecer. Con el corazón en la mano, comenzó a hablar de esos abusos. Y cuando terminó, para su gran sorpresa, encontró a todos los profesores de pie aplau-diéndolo enfáticamente. Muchas de las personas en el público no lograban contener sus lágrimas. Así comienzan las conmovedoras y apasionadas memorias de Victor Villaseñor. A pesar de ser muy talentoso e imaginativo desde muy niño, tuvo que vivir con una dificultad de aprendizaje (no fue sino hasta los 44 años de edad que fue diagnosticado con un caso grave de dislexia), y la frustración de ser latino en una escuela americana en la que sólo se hablaba inglés. A pesar de los profesores que lo maltrataban porque no podía hablar inglés, Villaseñor se aferró a su sueño de un día convertirse en escritor. Hoy en día, es considerado uno de los autores más importantes de nuestra era.

This app has a ton of features for listening to your audiobooks. The shake to extend the sleep timer is very convenient and a feature I miss when I switch back to the Audible app for my library there. Also, the equalizer has been a really nice addition along with the audio preset built in. I can keep my books out on my iCloud Drive and download them when I’m ready to listen. Great app!

I just purchased a pack of MP3 audiobooks and I normally listen to Audible at 1.5 normal speed. So when I have to listen to things at normal speed or whatever it is EXCRUCIATING!!! I am so glad I found this app and the fact that you can dial up your speed by tenths instead of quarters is even better. Now if only o could figure out how to love my audible library over here...????

This is the only audiobook player I've found that can speed books up (without changing the pitch) and still keep the sound quality very good. It sounds as good as Overcast (minus a couple features like skipping empty spots and voice boosting) but makes it easy to import books (Overcast forces you to upload them to their servers with a 2gb limit).

The app allows a lot of freedom as far as organization and playback speed. Sleep timer is adjustable and combining books into series folders is simple. Equalizer helps to adjust pitch when playing at high speeds and helps reduces feedback with poor quality recordings. App never crashes and I don’t have any complaints.
