Crossroads: Conflicted Journey of a New Jersey State Trooper

Crossroads: Conflicted Journey of a New Jersey State Trooper is a book that details the author's revelations about growing up in an inner city and making strategic decisions that paved the way for his entrance into the New Jersey State Police. Along the way, after attaining advanced degrees, and attending law enforcement's most prestigious training academy, he was assigned to an internal investigative unit, which was purportedly in place to ferret out racial, sexual and gender discrimination. However, after investigating several cases, the author witnessed the pattern and practice of intentionally stalling investigations, which enabled high ranked commissioned officers to retire without being reprimanded. The author reported his allegations directly to those in charge, but instead of making institutional changes, they retaliated against him and denied him promotions. The author reluctantly filed a civil lawsuit, which made its way to the New Jersey Supreme Court, where he won and ultimately settled his case.

I have used this app to listen to my audio books for several years now. I keep several book series, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc., add new books, remove after read, etc. While I currently have 17 books loaded, with several books in progress, the app has never lost a reading place. Bookmarks work like a charm. I not only listen to audio books at home, I also listen while I drive. I appreciate that the app pauses during turn-by-turn directions. Thank you for an app that just does its thing flawlessly.

This is the only audiobook player I've found that can speed books up (without changing the pitch) and still keep the sound quality very good. It sounds as good as Overcast (minus a couple features like skipping empty spots and voice boosting) but makes it easy to import books (Overcast forces you to upload them to their servers with a 2gb limit).

MP3 Books is the best app I tested among many others. The reading of the chapters follows naturally and without error. A lot of nice features like the auto reading or reading time informations. The main interest is the ability to listen all free audio books and file formats, regardless of any susbcription like Apple Books and others.

I have a number of audiobooks of various formats and ages, collected over decades. I digitized them all to use on mobile devices before iPhones even existed, but obviously now I’d rather not carry a separate device around with me. MP3 Audiobook Player to the rescue! This app lets me load books wirelessly, even via WebDAV, and has excellent usability features like playback speed. It can also be the target of a timer on iOS, so you can set a bedtime timer and automatically stop playback when desired. I just love it, and immediately bought the full version after I saw what it could do.
