The unexpected turns of events and the obstacles that he had to navigate, putting himself and his family at risk, make up the plot of this exciting book. It also shows how, in contrast, Adolf Eichmann, lieutenant colonel for the SS and the one responsible for the Reich’s deportations, followed German bureaucracy and laws in his strict, inhuman application of ordinances.
