Field Guide to Fort Ord

Field Guide to Fort Ord is a 100-page economical full-color paperback keepsake with images of Fort Ord's past and present, including hand-painted maps, archival photographs from Fort Ord yearbooks and the only comprehensive documentation of the soldier murals of Fort Ord. It is not a comprehensive history of the base. It is a companion to the Planet Ord project - documenting historic Fort Ord after it was closed, and in some ways, abandoned. Fort Ord is significant historically. It was the primary training site for soldiers during the Vietnam War. It was the first military base to integrate across race and gender. Fort Ord was the first home of VOLAR (volunteer Army) and later, the evolution of the innovative Lightfighters. A portion of the land was designated a National Monument in 2012. The original base is roughly the size of San Francisco, and is a critical wilderness area in California. Over 1 million soldiers served at Fort Ord.

How to download audiobooks from Youtube for free on the your iPhone & iPad.

This is the only audiobook player I've found that can speed books up (without changing the pitch) and still keep the sound quality very good. It sounds as good as Overcast (minus a couple features like skipping empty spots and voice boosting) but makes it easy to import books (Overcast forces you to upload them to their servers with a 2gb limit).

Great app at last I can bookmark audiobooks. Once you have familiarised yourself with the app it works a treat. Just remember to click on the iPhone icon in the top bar (next to music and the up and down arrows) not on the right hand side bar. Then in the summary “file sharing” then select the app and add the audio book from windows explorer not iTunes.

I have a large list of audiobooks download in mb4 for and have tried many different apps. This is by far the best and most convenient app. It also automatically gets the cover art for each book. I recommend getting the pro so that there are no listening limits.

Fits the bill perfectly to play audiobooks ripped from other media: premium version allows bookmarking, reading rate change (the best I've ever seen from .5x through 3x and every variation in between) and sleep timer. Plays files in multiple formats, including mp3s and m4b (audiobook version of m4a). Easy to load books through iTunes file sharing. I haven't tried the wireless method. Well worth the money for the premium version (which you can just purchase outright, but I got it free first, liked it, and almost immediately did the IAP for the pro features). Been looking for a solution since Audible discontinued the feature to play your own iTunes audiobook library and iBooks is inadequate. This is it. Highly recommended. Found this while trying to figure out how to play a library of audiobooks from a favorite author ripped from cassettes and CDs (not available on Audible - always my go-to).
