This book recounts the secrets and struggles that arose through early childhood molestation, adoption, and having an alcoholic father. The book also shares the author's experience being catholic and a gay public-school teacher and administrator in a school system set in a narrow-minded, rural town in Maine. This unforgettable story is told with the rawness and candor that can only come from someone who spent a lifetime learning that she had done nothing wrong.Although this story is filled with trauma and struggle, it serves to remind others in similar situations that they are not alone. Those who have lived through sexual abuse, adoption, alcoholic parent(s), and sexual identity issues, will be able to connect with the author's experience and hopefully be inspired to accept and love themselves. Regardless of who you are, this is a must-read autobiography filled with vulnerability and honesty.

I have used this app to listen to my audio books for several years now. I keep several book series, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc., add new books, remove after read, etc. While I currently have 17 books loaded, with several books in progress, the app has never lost a reading place. Bookmarks work like a charm. I not only listen to audio books at home, I also listen while I drive. I appreciate that the app pauses during turn-by-turn directions. Thank you for an app that just does its thing flawlessly.

After having many problems with the built-in audiobook player that comes with Apple products I was so happy to find this application. Not only does it accept MP3 files it joins them together. I have experienced numerous problems where an MP4 book will play in iTunes but would not play in the app that comes with my iPhone. This application plays them all flawlessly. And the increased speed is perfect. As one who consumes 2 to 3 audiobooks a week this is just what I needed.

This app has a ton of features for listening to your audiobooks. The shake to extend the sleep timer is very convenient and a feature I miss when I switch back to the Audible app for my library there. Also, the equalizer has been a really nice addition along with the audio preset built in. I can keep my books out on my iCloud Drive and download them when I’m ready to listen. Great app!

Great app at last I can bookmark audiobooks. Once you have familiarised yourself with the app it works a treat. Just remember to click on the iPhone icon in the top bar (next to music and the up and down arrows) not on the right hand side bar. Then in the summary “file sharing” then select the app and add the audio book from windows explorer not iTunes.
